When are the flights?
Flights will depart several times per day between August 24 and August 26, 2018. See a list of available flights via the button below.
How do I register for the flights?
Register by following the button link below and selecting the flight date and time of your choice. Please note that you will be required to provide the name (exactly as it appears on the ID you will use for boarding), date of birth, and gender for each passenger in your party. Because passengers must be vetted in advance of the flight, no substitutions will be allowed. You must also provide a phone number, as well as a valid email address for flight confirmation.
What do I need to bring to board the aircraft?
Each passenger aged 18 and over will be required to show a CURRENT government-issued photo ID (e.g. driver’s license, passport, etc.). Please note that children under the age of 18 will not require ID.
Where do the flights go, and how long are they?
All scenic flights will depart from and return to the Sheridan County Airport, with a flight duration of approximately 20 minutes. During that time, the flights will pass along the beautiful Big Horn mountains, offering a spectacular aerial view.
Are these flights really free?
Yes! Fly Sheridan is celebrating our partnership with the Sheridan and Johnson County communities by offering these special scenic flights. There is genuinely no cost or obligation for enjoying these flights.
Who can go on the scenic flights?
Anyone! These flights are open to all members of the public, though minors under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by an adult.
Are the flights wheelchair accessible?
Yes! If you or another member of your party will need wheelchair access to the flight, we look forward to providing an excellent experience. There is limited availability for wheelchair access per flight, so please don’t hesitate to register. On the day of your flight, please arrive one hour prior to your flight time to ensure sufficient time for a smooth check in/boarding process.
Can small children go on the flights?
Absolutely! Please register children older than two as you would any other passenger. If you will be flying with lap children (children under 2 years old), we want to ensure there is extra time for you and your little one(s) to comfortably board and settle in for the flight. On the day of your flight, please arrive one hour prior to your flight time so we can check you in early and provide extra time for early boarding.
Is there a limit on how many passengers I can sign up?
Each flight can accommodate up to 30 passengers. There is no registration limit on party size; however, please make sure that the passengers you register will be able to make their flight — we want to make sure as many people as possible can take advantage of this great opportunity.
Is there a limit on how many flights I can take?
No – enjoy as many flights as you’d like. Each flight must be reserved separately.
Do I have to go through TSA?
Because these flights are not going to another destination, passengers do NOT need to pass through TSA prior to the flight. Please note, these flights are still subject to Federal Aviation Administration regulations on prohibited items. For a list of items that are prohibited from the flight, please click here.
