Passengers are permitted one free carry-on bag (not exceeding 30 lbs or 45 linear inches) and one carry-on personal item (not to exceed 41.5 linear inches). Due to limited space in the aircraft cabin, your carry-on bag will be checked at the gate and returned to you at your destination. Personal items (such as purses, briefcases, or laptop bags) must meet size restrictions, approximately 6 by 13 by 14.5 inches.
For each ticketed customer, Denver Air Connection will transport, subject to space and additional fees, up to three (3) checked bags per passenger. All baggage beyond the first checked bag is carried on a space available basis. All checked baggage is subject to an additional charge.
Checked baggage is subject to the following charges:
- First checked bag is $ 10,
- second checked bag is $ 25,
- third checked bag and thereafter is $ 100 per item.
Checked baggage may not exceed 50 LBS or 62 linear inches.
Overweight baggage charges of $ 50 per item will apply to checked bags exceeding 50 LBS but less than 75 LBS.
Bags weighing in excess of 75 LBS will not be accepted for travel.
Oversize baggage charges of $ 50 per item will apply to bags between 62 and 80 linear inches.
Bags exceeding 80 linear inches will not be accepted for travel.
Sporting items are subject to a $ 50 per item charge, plus overweight and oversized charges.
Baggage charges are cumulative. More than one charge may apply to oversized and overweight bags.
Due to TSA restrictions, passengers must present checked baggage in person at our ticket counter. We cannot accept or handle any baggage that is not checked in by a passenger on our flight. Passengers are responsible for collecting their baggage from any connecting airline and checking that baggage at our ticket counter. We cannot claim your baggage from another airline. If you do not claim your own baggage from your other airline, consult your other airline for their policies on unclaimed/abandoned baggage. If you feel that you will not have enough time to make your connection, please contact our call center to change to a later flight, subject to any applicable change/cancellation fees.
Certain items are prohibited by the TSA aboard passenger aircraft. Please see the TSA list for details: http://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/prohibited-items
Federal law forbids the carriage of hazardous materials aboard aircraft, in your luggage or on your person. Hazardous materials include explosives, compressed gasses, flammable liquids and solids, oxidizers, poisons, corrosives and radioactive materials.
Denver Air Connection will not accept hoverboards (motorized, two-wheel, skateboard sized scooters) aboard our passenger aircraft in either checked or carry-on baggage. Although government agencies have not prohibited the carriage of hoverboards aboard aircraft, we are joining the growing list of airlines prohibiting these items due to the risk of fire from lithium or lithium-ion batteries contained inside. On rare occasion these batteries can spontaneously overheat and pose a fire hazard risk.
Denver Air Connection will not accept lithium ion or lithium metal batteries aboard our passenger aircraft in checked baggage. Lithium batteries may be carried aboard passenger aircraft as part of a passenger’s personal item, provided they are properly installed in a permitted consumer electronic device.
